## TL;DR

- Stride Run Club partnered with Only What's Needed, the company run by Revant Himatsingka, known online as Food Pharmer, on Saturday 8 August.
- Runners checked in on the Stride web app at Hard Rock Cafe, St. Mark's Road, warmed up and ran 3 km through Cubbon Park with Revant.
- Back at the cafe, jumping jacks, lunges and more filled a bingo card. A full card earned a protein shot at the Only What's Needed protein bar.
- The morning closed with a Q&A with Food Pharmer about his journey and plans for the brand, then a group photo.

Saturday, 8 August, 6:30 in the morning. Runners were gathering outside Hard Rock Cafe on St. Mark's Road in Bangalore, checking in on the Stride Run Club web app and getting through the first round of icebreakers.

Anyone who wanted could also opt in for face painting, and a corner of the cafe had been set up just for it. A lot of people walked out of that corner with painted faces, which was pretty fun to watch before a run.

Our partner this time was Only What's Needed, a company run by Food Pharmer.

## The Man Behind the Labels

Food Pharmer's real name is Revant Himatsingka. On the internet he reads the fine print on packaged food and calls out misleading branding, so the rest of us know what we are actually buying and can make more health-conscious decisions.

## Warm-Up, Then 3 km Through Cubbon Park

A few warm-up sessions later we were off, 3 km through Cubbon Park.

Revant joined in. People fell in beside him on the path and asked about his journey, and he answered candidly between strides.

## Bingo, Paid in Lunges

Back at Hard Rock Cafe the real work started. Jumping jacks, lunges and more, each one a square on a bingo card you had to fill.

Complete the card and the protein bar poured you a shot. Nobody got a sample for standing in line. You earned it, which was a nice concept.

## Questions for the Pharmer

When every square was ticked, everyone settled in for a Q&A, and Revant walked us through his experience so far and what he plans to do next with Only What's Needed as a brand.

## A Group Photo to Close

People stayed on after that, meeting each other, making new friends and swapping notes on what goes into their plates. The day ended with a group photo.
